Experience the transformational power of the breath at this 3 day Conscious Breathwork Retreat from 7 to 10 November at Bodhi Khaya, held by with well-renowned Conscious Breathwork Facilitator, Jean Rossouw of Bodhi Breathwork, as well as Holistic Coach, Yoga Teacher and Conscious Breathwork Facilitator, Olivia Moon.
Journey to the centre of the self using breath as a vehicle of consciousness as we move from simple breath awareness practices to the powerful technique of Conscious Connected Breathing. Breathe in deeply and give yourself permission to heal and let go, as you allow yourself to be held by the majestic natural surrounds of Bodhi Khaya.
This retreat invites you to embrace each passing moment of breath with a renewed sense of gratitude and wonder, while offering a schedule of soulful practices in order for you to explore your body, mind and breath and connect more deeply with your inner truth.

More on Conscious Connected Breathing
Conscious Connected Breathing is a method of breath control that gives rise to expanded states of consciousness and has an effect on physical, mental, emotional and spiritual well-being as we activate the body’s inner healing intelligence.
The journey will be guided by carefully curated music and the intelligence of your own circular, connected breath. This combination allows you to move into a heart space while accessing expanded states of consciousness. The process brings more energy and awareness into the body as the breather experiences a vibrational shift which releases suppressed energy, emotions, stress and trauma. This journey activates both unconscious discomfort and ecstatic bliss as the intelligence of Life Force energy (Prana/Qi) leads us to exactly where we need to awaken and let go.
The process allows one to:
- become aware of self-limiting habits
- open to the capacity for self-healing
- re-pattern dysfunctional breathing patterns
- shift thoughts and feelings around the unknown
- examine limiting beliefs and emotional addictions
- resolve and bring awareness to unhealthy patterns and conditioning
- experience states of pure, unconditional love, acceptance and bliss
During the sessions you will have the opportunity to access your own internal healing energy and greater knowing in a safe and held space, allowing for a powerful shift in yourself and your life.
After the session you will have time to gently come back to your normal state of being, while enjoying a nourishing cup of tea. There will be time for questions and sharing your experience with other participants if you prefer. Follow-up support and integration tips will be provided.
Conscious Connected Breathing may be contra-indicated for
- Severe Cardiovascular problems
- High or abnormal blood pressure
- History of aneurisms
- Epilepsy or history of seizures
- Severe psychiatric symptoms, particularly psychosis or paranoia
- Osteoporosis
- Recent surgery
- Glaucoma
- Pregnancy

Jean Rossouw
Jean Rossouw is a Certified Breathwork Practitioner, Facilitator and Trainer, offering individual and group sessions in a safely held space.
He is passionate about introducing people to the power of Breathwork for physical, spiritual and psychological wellbeing, while being a keen explorer of modalities that further these dimensions of living.
Driven by a passion for healing, change and growth, he is inspired by the overlap between spirituality, neuroscience and transpersonal states. I support inner transformation and personal development through various tools, such as Breathwork, Yoga and Entheogenic exploration.
Through these modalities we are guided to evolve our consciousness, expand our knowing and connect with the healer within. Through accessing more of our authenticity, we support a more meaningful, purposeful and harmonious life.
Olivia Moon
Olivia is a Holistic Wellness Coach, Conscious Breathwork facilitator and Yoga teacher (550 -RYT) at Bodhi Khaya Nature Retreat. She is committed to helping people step into their fullest potential, connect to their purpose, break through self limiting beliefs and align with their highest self. Olivia is passionate about sharing the power of the breath and how, in its simplicity it can change our lives, if we know how to use it. She believes that our breath is our connection to the universe, it is the bridge between the spiritual and physical. When we cross this bridge using the breath, we are able to access our true essence, waiting to be expressed.
